Publisher: Abstracta
Abstracta is both a philosophy journal and an online directory for
philosophical matters. As an electronic journal, Abstracta is dedicated to
publishing work in analytic philosophy, with special emphasis on Philosophy
of Language, Philosophy of Mind, Theory of Action, Theory of Knowledge,
Logic, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Mathematics,
Metaphysics and Ethics. Related scientific fields, such as Cognitive
Science, Neuroscience and Linguistics, are welcome as well.
This easily-accessible electronic journal enables authors to present their
research results to the academic community - submitted papers must be
original and are blind reviewed by members of the editorial board.
As an online directory, Abstracta not only encompasses Analytic Philosophy
in general, but also covers a wide range of periods of the History of
Philosophy: Ancient Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Modern Philosophy and
20th century philosophy. The website also supplies users with a broad
library of electronic texts, arranged in historical periods as well as
author alphabetical order.
In addition, Abstracta includes a section with links to other philosophy
libraries, websites, and other items of interest to the philosophical
community, such as philosophy dictionaries and encyclopedias -- a special
section is dedicated to related journals from around the world.
Finally, the website also provides a user-interactive news section with the
latest information of interest to the philosophical audience.
As an international scientific publication of high-quality academic content,
the purpose of Abstracta - Language, Mind and Action is to facilitate and
foster both the production and spread of philosophy research publications.
Submissions may be in English, Portuguese, Spanish or French.
