Welcome to our world-wide web server, devoted to anything and everything
remotely related to the journal Bad Subjects: Political Education for
Everyday Life.  Bad Subjects was first published in September 1992 by
editors Annalee Newitz and Joe Sartelle, with the assistance of Charlie
Bertsch.  It is entering its fourth year with a new collective
production team, headed by Co-directors Annalee Newitz and Jillian
Sandell.  Explore our expanded Web site! We look forward to your
participation.  Bad Subjects is student-run and student-produced and is
distributed free of charge. 

To join the Bad Subjects mailing list, leave the list, or modify your
status, send one of the following commands in the first line of a message
addressed to <listserv@english.hss.cmu.edu>: 

     SUBSCRIBE Bad Your Name
     
Subscribes you to the Bad Subjects discussion list. You will receive all
messages sent by Bad Subjects readers, and be able to take part in the
discussions of Bad Subjects articles and multimedia projects.

     UNSUBSCRIBE Bad
     Cancels your subscription to the list.

     REVIEW Bad
     Shows all current subscribers to the Bad Subjects mailing list.

     SET Bad OPTION
     Allows you to set a listserv option. supported options are:

          CONCEAL hides your name from a REVIEW command 
          NOCONCEAL shows your name in a REVIEW command [Default]. 
          INACTIVE suspends your subscription until next ACTIVE command 
          ACTIVE makes your subscription active [Default]. 
          DIGEST sends daily digests rather than individual messages 
          MAIL sends you individual messages. [Default].
