Complications in Surgery is an electronic version of the print journal of
the same title published by SCP Communications.
Statement of Editorial Purpose:
Complications in Surgery provides practical, scientifically sound
information on preventing and treating surgical infection - the leading
cause of death and complications in surgery and the universal concern of
all surgeons. Complications in trauma, neoplastic disease, surgical
physiology, and metabolism are regularly addressed.
Complications in Surgery publishes original contributions and review
articles. Edited and peer reviewed by leading authorities in medicine and
surgery, the journal has an audience that includes community and academic
general surgeons; trauma, abdominal, colon, vascular, and rectal
surgeons; and selected other specialists involved in the care of surgical
and immunosuppressed patients. By focusing on preventing complications,
Complications in Surgery strives to improve the art and science of surgery
and the quality of life for surgical patients everywhere.
