The CRHQ that was set up by Pierre Chaunu in 1966 carries the renowned
heritage of quantitative and serial history that gave rise to database
production and to the creation of major surveys. Its activity has been
enriched thanks to the development of computer-aided cartography that makes
up one strong point of several main axes of the activity of the CRHQ.

Les Cahiers du CRHQ give objective rapid dissemination of work in progress
(workshops, training days and seminars), results along the development of
programs and surveys, from the laboratory or implemented in networks with
other units. They include historiographical confrontations and
methodological developments.

Each issue is themed and prepared under the scientific and editorial of one
or more project managers.
