 The Digital Consumer News is a monthly electronic information service that
 will be distributed via email to subscribers. 
 
 Each issue will contain information from barter to e-scams that will
 enable subscribers to make wiser consumer decisions. The News will explore
 issues such as child labor, boycotts, sanction and embargoes in monthly
 feature articles. The rest of the newsletter will be devoted to smart
 shopping tips and community economic development, i.e. shopping locally
 and thinking globally. 
 
 Subscribers will also be able to communicate via email. Articles will be
 contributed by various writers and agencies such as Third World
 Features.Each article will include the sources/resources that the author
 used to develop the piece so that the subscribers will be able to view the
 original documents. 
 
 The idea behind this newsletter is to make people realize that they make a
 difference through their daily shopping behavior.
