Medicine (ISPRM)

Disability and Rehabilitation publishes twenty-four issues a year and, in
addition, a further 4 issues in a separate volume of Disability and
Rehabilitation: Assistive Technology.

Disability and Rehabilitation is an international, multi-disciplinary
journal which seeks to encourage a better understanding of all aspects of
disability and to promote the rehabilitation process. The Journal publishes
Review Articles, Experimental and Clinical Research Papers, Case Studies,
Clinical Commentaries, Reports on Rehabilitation in Practice and major Book
Reviews.

The Journal encourages submissions covering the widest range of topics on
disability and rehabilitation, including the severity and magnitude of
disability, clinical medicine, gerontology, psycho-social adjustment, social
policy issues, vocational and educational training, studies on pain, broad
rehabilitation medicine topics along with papers on assistive technology and
rehabilitation engineering.

Papers should be directed at a wide range of professional groups, including
medical practitioners, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and
language therapists, clinical and rehabilitation psychologists and those
professionals involved in nursing, education and ergonomics. Those involved
in engineering and assistive technology now have an exclusive volume of
Disability and Rehabilitation.

Disability and Rehabilitation: Assistive Technology is devoted specifically
to the broad range of technological developments and related supports and
issues which enhance the rehabilitation process. Cutting across the full
range of topics published in Disability and Rehabilitation, the assistive
technology papers are characterised by their inter-disciplinary base and
varied methodologies.

Disability and Rehabilitation and Disability and Rehabilitation: Assistive
Technology are responsive to changing paradigms and perspectives within the
broad field of disability and rehabilitation. Special Issues, devoted to key
topics and edited by leading experts, are published on a regular basis.
Collectively, the two volumes represent an important forum for the
dissemination and exchange of ideas amongst global health practitioners and
academics.
