Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata

Over the years experimental research on insects has greatly expanded,
largely as a result of the search for integrated insect control, stimulated
by the growing awareness that chemical control is harmful to the
environment. As new fields of research have opened up and new approaches
have been initiated, so workers who are not specifically interested in
entomology as such, but who are convinced that entomological research is
vital to the improvement of our environment, have become involved with the
subject. The careful management of insect pests plays a major role in this
endeavour.
Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata has come to be regarded as required
reading in the experimental biology and ecology, both pure and applied, of
insects and other land arthropods. Although the scope of the journal is
quite broad, it has established itself as the preferred medium for the
communication of results in the areas of the physiological, ecological and
morphological relations of arthropods to their host plant, as well as the
several disciplines in entomology which have grown to prominence as the
result of new findings on insect control, such as insect pheromones, growth
regulators, plant attractants and deterrents, and the relationship of
insects to their natural enemies and predators.
