Entertainment Law is a rapidly expanding and dynamic discipline, with both
academic courses and texts emerging in recent years. The creation of this
journal both cements the position of the discipline and provides an outlet
for high quality research into all aspects of the regulation of the
entertainment industry.
We use the term 'entertainment' in its broadest form; whilst areas such as
music, sports, film and the media automatically fall under its purview,
Entertainment Law will also cover areas such as the performing arts,
computers and other aspects of leisure.
The ethos of Entertainment Law is an inclusive one and our projected
coverage aims to reflect that. The journal is international and contextual
in its focus, and will have regular contributions from other jurisdictions
and appropriate practitioner input. Comparative work may be especially
relevant in this field.
Entertainment Law aims to be the forecast academic journal in its field. The
editors are keen to receive manuscripts from lawyers working in the field
and other academics from disciplines working in areas that impact upon the
entertainment industry.
