Ethnobotany Research and Applications: A Journal of Plants, People and
Applied Research

http://www.ethnobotanyjournal.org/

Publisher: Ethnobotany Program at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa

A multi-disciplinary peer reviewed Open Access Journal which is freely
accessible on the World Wide Web.

Ethnobotany Research and Applications is an electronic, peer-reviewed,
multi-disciplinary journal devoted to the rapid dissemination of current
research. Manuscript submission, peer review, and publication are all
handled on the Internet. Software developed for the journal automates
all editorial steps during peer review, facilitates a rapid peer review
process. As articles are accepted, they are published in an "Issue in
Progress." At periodic intervals the Issue-in-Progress is declared a New
Issue, and subscribers receive the Table of Contents of the issue via email.

What types of articles do we publish? The journal seeks manuscripts that
are novel, integrative and written in ways that are accessible to a wide
audience. This includes an array of disciplines (biological and social
sciences) concerned particularly with theoretical questions that lead to
practical applications.

The journal is also interested in publishing original research in under
represented indigenous languages, that often do not have a public forum
for publication and distribution.

The journal is interested in publishing perspectives of cultural
practitioners, poets and other with insights into plants, people and
applied research.

We also encourage papers that make use of the unique opportunities of an
E-journal: color illustrations, animated model output, down-loadable
models and data sets.
