Conditions
The Foundation is a European Union body, one of the first to be established
to work in specialised areas of EU policy. Specifically, it was set up by
the European Council (Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1365/75 of 26 May 1975),
to contribute to the planning and design of better living and working
conditions in Europe.
Role:
* To provide information, advice and expertise on living and working
conditions, industrial relations and managing change in Europe for key
actors in the field of EU social policy on the basis of comparative
information, research and analysis.

* Social cohesion
The Foundation newsletter has been renamed Eurofound News, starting with the
January 2007 issue. It is still available in web, email and print formats 10
times per year. It contains articles on current developments in Foundation
research and activities as well as upcoming events and latest Foundation
publications.
