Etudes rurales explores the many aspects of "rural" throughout the
territories by studying activities, types of life, political organizations,
representations, beliefs, heritage and future prospects.

Thanks to the contribution of authors from various backgrounds, the journal
speaks about the world while being based, for all the disciplines (human,
social and naturalists), so much on scientific investigation rather than
historical, philosophical or anthropological thought.
