The Center for the Future of Children at The David and Lucile Packard
Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of its journal, The
Future of Children, on the World Wide Web. The journal, now in its
fifth year of publication, summarizes current research and policy issues
relating to the well-being of children.
Topics of articles now available electronically include
early childhood education
low birth weight
the environment and children's health
welfare to work programs and teen parents
school readiness
class size in public schools
Subsequent articles will focus on special education, child care financing,
juvenile courts, and children in poverty.
Future of Children is available free of charge as an Open Access
journal on the Internet.
The Future of Children is indexed in Medline, Social Sciences Citation
Index, Uncover, and ERIC.
