I decided to do this when I started talking to friends and colleagues
about internet resources. They often did not know the good sites I had
seen or they thought the web was all there was to the internet. As well,
they were limited to looking for more by only know how to use one or two
search tools. I am looking for quality information in 8 areas -- some are
the big divisions of science and others look at the internet itself.  If
you have a suggestion, let me know. 

And why should you listen to me? I am a certified teacher in the Province
of Alberta, Canada and I have worked teaching secondary sciences to a
variety of students. As well as being the Chief Judge for the Edmonton
Regional Science Fair since 1993, I will be the Chief Judge for the
Canada-Wide Science Fair 1999 here in Edmonton. I am a constant conference
attendee and love surfing. 

Sections

Each week I will review one item from each of these areas:

-3- Proper Subset of All Web Pages -- Mathematics (Note 1)
-4- That Drawer in the Kitchen -- Miscellany
-5- If you build it and they can find it ... -- Search Tools
-6- Truth by Email -- Listserv or mailbot
-7- Tossing Out a Maple Leaf -- Canadian Content
-8- Elementary Watson -- Teacher Resources (Note 1)
There is also often a 'Housekeeping' section to update you on information
from previous issues.

Note 1: Up to issue #20, section 3 was for 'Engineering and Applied
Research' and section 8 was focussed on the student, not the teacher. See
the header to issue #21 for details.
