IDEALWORLD, a quarterly electronic newsletter for users of the
International Digital Electronic Access Library.  With user collaboration,
IDEAL has grown rapidly since its launch in the fall of 1995. At web press
time, IDEAL had 15 licensed consortia covering over 450 institutions in
the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, The Netherlands, and Australia,
accessible by over 4 million authorized users! 

In each issue of IDEALWORLD, we will include brief articles, written by
members of our electronic publishing, customer service, and marketing
staff covering the latest developments on IDEAL. The rapid innovation in
the way scientific material is published, accessed, and disseminated has
changed the way researchers, librarians, vendors, and publishers work. We
hope this newsletter will serve as a practical tool to help you facilitate
these changes in scholarly communication. Please let us know what other
subjects you would like to see covered in IDEALWORLD.  We look forward to
hearing from you.
