Brief Description Of Purpose, Audience and Typical Contents:
A journal focusing specifically on the fast-moving hospitality
industry and the need for managers' quick response to relevant
external factors such as changing consumer lifestyles and
technological improvements.
Hotel managers, whether they run a single establishment or are
responsible for a large chain, must be aware of changing consumer
demands, rising service expectations and the available technology and
facility developments which allow them to respond to needs and offer a
competitive service.
IJCHM is the only journal which can help managers keep pace with
research on consumer attitudes and innovations in technology and
service. Many articles are jointly written by practitioners and
academics in the field, and offer invaluable insights into such areas
as meeting the special requirements of the over-55s, developing brand
loyalty, what guests really want from a hotel, and how cruise line
staff attitudes are affected by sailing conditions.
