Interpoetics is a triquarterly electronic journal of poetry, translations,
research and reviews which features issues in crosscultural poetics.

Statement of Purpose

Interpoetics is a non-profit web project serving as a forum for poets,
translators and scholars of Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Interpoetics...

     * supports research and discussion in comparative poetics by
	providing a forum.
     * encourages translation of poetry from Asian cultures
     * provides an access point for leading research and source materials
for scholars and educators working with Asian cultures and poetry
     * aims to disentangle poetry from Orientalist stereotypes
     * celebrates poetry as imbricated in contexts

Note on Printed Version of interpoetics:

Though a Web-based journal, interpoetics will be distributed in printed
form in small quantities on a by-request basis. There are a number of
professors and poets who have expressed an interest in the journal but do
not frequent this medium. It is possible that at some point there will be
a regular publication of a printed edition of interpoetics.
