This electronic version of the print journal of the same name is published
on the web by Springer-Verlag Berlin. It is a quarterly journal aimed at
advancing the theory and practice of acquisition, definition,
organization, management, and dissemination of digital information via

Articles are published in Postscript and Adobe Acrobat portable document
formats and are available to subscribers using a password provided by the
publisher. No password is required to view the article abstracts, which
are published in html format.
