Scope

The International Journal of Toxicology publishes fully
refereed papers covering the entire field of toxicology. Its
articles address previously unpublished findings or
assessments of the toxicity hazards of industrial chemicals,
     pharmaceutical agents, environmental contaminants, and
other entities, and explores their mechanisms of action and
     relevance to human health.

Each issue brings the reader up to date across the broad
range of critical issues in toxicology, including:

          risk assessment
          carcinogenicity
          safety evaluation
          reproductive and genetic toxicology
          epidemiology and clinical toxicology
          new approaches to toxicological testing
          alternatives to animal testing

Twice a year the journal reports on the recommendations of
the Cosmetic Ingredients Review Expert Panel, which
provides safety assessments of ingredients used in personal
care products. A yearly Acute Toxicity Data Report
publishes exclusive structured reports on the acute toxicity of
compounds -- information frequently held unpublished in
corporate files. Readers can rely on this data in support of
registrations and petitions, as well as to learn of potential
hazards that would otherwise go unpublished.

Readership

Applied and clinical toxicologists, pharmacologists and
pharmaceutical scientists, researchers in the cosmetics
industry and drug companies, as well as other professionals
concerned with recent developments in toxicology and its
clinical, environmental, occupational, and forensic specialties.
