The Journal is dedicated to the dissemination of practical information
which enables readers to manage, operate and maintain communications
networks more effectively.

Articles and columns for the journal are selected with the intent to
facilitate the reader's evaluation of equipment and systems, toprovide a
detailed understanding of performance issues, and to discuss the
advantages and disadvantages of a variety of networking approaches that
can be used to satisfy an organization's communications requirements.

The Journal will: examine a variety of internetworking problems and their
solutions; investigate LAN connectivity methods, including performance
constraints and implementation issues; probe the operation and utilization
of performance analyzers, monitors and other types of communications test
equipment; provide in-depth coverage of network management systems that
operate on mainframes, minicomputers and microcomputers.
