Indian Journal of Surgery (Journal) is the official publication of the 
Association of Surgeons of India that considers for publication articles 
in all fields of surgery. It is published bi-monthly and is in its 60th 
year of publication. Online issues are free and date back to 2002.

The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, editorials, 
surgical techniques, case reports and images in all the sub-specialities of
surgery. To increase its visibility in the international surgical community, 
IJS has recently established a website (www.indianjsurg.com) and has
adopted an online system for submission and processing of articles. 

IJS regularly reaches over 10,000 members of the Association of Surgeons of 
India across the length and breadth of the country every two months. 

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with "Uniform requirements for 
Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journal" developed by International 
Committee of Medical Journal Editors (October 2001).
