The Italian Heart Journal is a monthly publication of the Italian 
Federation of Cardiology. It publishes original research articles, 
epidemiological studies, new methodological clinical approaches, design 
and goals of clinical trials, review articles, points of view, and 
editorials. Studies on the description of new research methods, in 
Italian design and goals of clinical trials, and novel working 
hypotheses will be particularly encouraged. 

Each issue is accompanied by the Italian Heart Journal Supplement. It 
publishes in Italian editorials, review articles and state-of-the-art 
on recent developments in clinical practice in all fields of cardiology 
for educational purposes; observational studies of practical teaching 
relevance, clinical guidelines, clinical cases, images in 
cardiovascular medicine; health care policy and economical evaluations; 
practical management of cardiovascular diseases; forum for the exchange 
of information and options on all professional cardiology issues 
including management and education; highlights from the literature; 
book reviews; correspondence, news from the Italian Federation of 
Cardiology. It will address predominantly issues concerning the 
practice of cardiology and cardiovascular medicine. 

All manuscripts, which must be written in accordance with Instructions 
to Authors, are evaluated by expert Reviewers, selected by 
the Editors and eventually accepted on priority rating and consensus 
from the Reviewers, the Editors and the Scientific Committee.

Italian Heart Journal is available free of charge as an Open Access
journal on the internet.
