Issues in Legal Scholarship is one of The Journals of Legal Scholarship.
Issues in Legal Scholarship publishes on-line symposia designed to bring
together some of the best recent work on an issue in legal scholarship.
For the first symposium, contributors were asked to discuss one of the most
important articles that has been written about contract law: The Reliance
Interest in Contract Damages by Lon Fuller and William Perdue. The initial
contributors had all recently published articles dealing with the topic of
the Fuller and Perdue article. They were invited to summarize these articles,
adding to them, modifying them, and updating them as they wished. Other
scholars were then asked to join the discussion either by building on work
they had already published or by writing something fresh.
It is hoped that such on-line symposia will enable those researching an issue
to find quickly some of the best and latest work on it, and those thinking
about the issue to carry on an ongoing discussion with others.
