International Studies Perspectives (ISP) publishes peer-reviewed
interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary articles and pursues a four-fold
mission:

Publishing articles on teaching international studies:

With the increased attention paid to innovative teaching at colleges and
universities around the world, ISP provides an outlet for high quality
scholarship on international studies pedagogy. Articles for this section
might include ones on various active learning approaches, innovations in
teaching traditional topics, or understanding how to assess student
learning.

Publishing policy-relevant international studies articles:

This section reaches out to practitioners in the field and engages them in
the current academic debates, increasing understanding of how policy is and
can be informed by scholarly research, and providing an outlet for
policy-relevant research in the field by international studies scholars.

Publishing articles on visions of the discipline:

These articles provide a forum for understanding and investigating current
trends in research, developments in fields other than political science, hot
topics, and new approaches to international studies.

Publishing articles and items about the international studies profession:

Material in this section might include articles on such issues as publishing
in international studies, approaches to giving job talks and other topics
related to professional development. ISP will also publish some professional
news items such as calls for papers, announcements about summer institutes,
and fellowship and grant announcements.
