The main aim of the Journal is to provide a unique interdisciplinary 
forum to publish papers in the emerging subject of computational 
engineering, dealing with mathematical models, numerical methods, 
science and engineering and computational processes, which are driving 
and in turn are driven by applications in all fields of engineering 
science.

Special emphasis will be placed on both upstream and applied research 
and on the transfer of technology to the industry in the areas of 
nanoscience, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), electromagnetics, 
fluid mechanics, heat transfer, solid and structural mechanics in the 
disciplines of aerospace, chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical 
engineering, and computational biology, chemistry and materials science.

Rapid advances in computer architecture, hardware, software technology 
and tools, and numerical and non-numerical algorithms, are making 
significant contributions to the development of computational models and 
methods to analyze and design complex engineering systems.

Through faster dissemination, this Journal offers scope for academics, 
researchers, and engineering professionals to present their research and 
development works that have potential for applications in several 
disciplines of engineering.

The following is a nonexhaustive list of topics considered to be within 
the scope of IJCES.

Computational Processes: Algorithms, software technology and tools, high 
performance computing and computations — parallel and distributed 
computing, artificial intelligence, scientific visualization and virtual 
reality.

Computational Science & Engineering: Finite element method, boundary 
element method, finite difference method, and meshless techniques, 
automated and adaptive analysis methods and engineering design and 
optimization.

Industrial Applications: Aerospace, chemical, civil, mechanical, 
materials science, electrical engineering, manufacturing processes and 
micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
