It is common wisdom that communication is regarded as the pillar of
scientific achievement. One only needs looking at the pinnacle of Islamic
science in the first millennium and the achievements of western science in
the last century, which were, to a great extent, due to the prosperity of
publication at the time.

Nowadays, publishing is very little in the Islamic scientific circles. This
magazine is the first step in reviving this activity, and giving opportunity
for other scientists, engineers and social researchers to join in this noble
work. To achieve this task, we define our aims as follows:

* The publication and discussion of our ideas.
* Linking different disciplines and professions.
* The creation of a medium and a network for collaboration between
scientists.
* The establishment of a backbone for Algerian science at home and overseas.

The aims are general and ambitions, but it is our belief that they are not
only realistic but achievable in the long run. It is the time to dedicate
time and effort to build such an important infrastructure. This is an
opportunity that will allow every scientist and engineer to advance their
communication skills in English; and we need not stress the place of English
in science education worldwide.

Articles from all disciplines are welcome discussing an idea, proposing a
concept, clarifying a point of view or reviewing literature in an academic
sense. The article should have not been published in any journal or magazine
and should be the work of the authors.
