International Journal of Navigation and Observation
http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijno/
Publisher: Hindawi Publishing Corporation
Forthcoming 2007
The overall aim of the International Journal of Navigation and Observation
is to explore emerging concepts and applications in navigation, positioning,
Earth observation, and related fields. The journal is directed at both
practicing engineers as well as academic researchers. It will highlight new
ideas and challenges in both application development and basic research,
thus seeking to bridge the gap between innovation and practical
implementation.
Authors of manuscripts with novel contributions to the theory and/or the
practice of navigation, positioning, and Earth observation are encouraged to
submit their contributions for consideration. All articles undergo a
rigorous peer-review process. Specifically, the journal employs a paperless,
electronic review process that ensures a speedy processing of papers with
short turnaround times.
Subject areas include (but are not limited to):
* Urban and indoor localization and navigation;
* Satellite-based navigation systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS);
* Space-based augmentation systems (WAAS);
* Terrestrial navigation and Integrated navigation;
* Autonomous vehicle navigation;
* GNSS/INS integration;
* Passive location and triangulation;
* Time management and time synchronization;
* Receiver and antenna design for GNSS;
* Navigation warfare;
* Anti-jamming technologies;
* Bio-navigation;
* Atmospheric effects;
* Electromagnetic modeling and simulation;
* Sensors (lidar, radar, sonar etc.) and sensor networks;
* Mapping, Surveying, and Geodesy;
* Data processing, data fusion, and feature extraction;
* Laser technology for navigation, mapping, and remote sensing applications;
* Waveform design;
* Tracking;
* Signal processing techniques for navigation and remote sensing;
* Novel and emerging applications.
The journal publishes both regular issues and special issues. Regular issues
collect papers freely contributed by authors without any specific
solicitation. Special issues appear according to a pre-determined schedule
and consist of manuscripts submitted by authors in response to a particular
Call-for-Papers.
