International Security Series

Publisher: Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA)

Transitions in global economic, social and political spheres over the last
15 years have carried with them considerable security implications for the
stability of individual nations and the world. Current global risks and
threats differ in quality and quantity from the traditional threats we have
known throughout the 20th century.

As the international security environment becomes increasingly complex and
difficult to predict, Canada will be forced to devote considerably larger
amounts of resources to the monitoring and assessment of risks and threats
arising from its immediate and distant perimeters.

International Security Series was designed to address various conventional
and non-conventional aspects of international security, ranging from
military and strategic issues to the development of new technologies and
environmental risks. As a web-based publication, its goal is to raise public
awareness of emerging security issues and the ways they may affect Canada.
Articles may vary considerably in length. We encourage submissions on topics
of current interest.
