IZA is a private, independent research institute, which conducts nationally
and internationally oriented labor market research. Operating as a
non-profit limited liability company, it draws financial support from the
research-sponsoring activities of the Deutsche Post Foundation.

Through the publication of its IZA Compact newsletter, IZA supports
communication between science and the broader public. The newsletter covers
current labor market problems, ongoing research projects, as well as new
research findings. In addition, IZA Compact serves as a forum for commentary
by IZA employees, research fellows, and guest authors.
