This international journal encompasses Self-propagating high-temperature
synthesis (SHS), the process for the production of advanced materials based
on solid-state combustion utilizing internally generated chemical energy.
Coverage ranges from the fundamentals of SHS processes, chemistry and
technology of SHS products and advanced materials to related fields, such as
kinetics and thermodynamics of high-temperature chemical reactions,
combustion theory, macroscopic kinetics of nonisothermic processes, and
more.
The journal offers a lively exchange of research results and analysis of
developmental and innovative trends in SHS science and applications.
Topics include Exothermic processes, macroscopic kinetics, combustion
theory; New methods of research: Mechanics of SHS systems; Mathematical
modeling of SHS processes; Applications of SHS products in engineering and R
& D work and more.
The journal publishes reviews, original papers, brief communications and
letters to the editor.
