Insignis is a review of studies wishing to examine the French literature of the nineteenth century both in its own components and through its inclusion within the Weltlitteratur as it is today, in light of previous centuries, in the concert of the various arts, of history and philosophy. 

Its goals are manifold: fostering multidisciplinary studies in order to better define the literary object, promote multiple methods of investigation, open a swap meet for young scientists and literary scholars, aestheticians of the visual arts and music, philosophers, psychoanalysts and finally all those for whom the nineteenth century is a source of reflection and inspiration.

Issues generally follow a theme.
