The mission of Iluminuras is to publish articles that are the result of anthropological and ethnographic studies or related fields on topics relevant to the project BIEV. 

The Journal seeks to publish articles based on theoretical work on the concepts of duration, narrative, social skills, image and imagination, symbolic systems and everyday life. We especially are interested in ethnographic studies that contribute to the understanding of fundamental aspects of urban life and Brazilian society in view of the historical and political perspectives that guide culture phenomena in modern complex societies.

Iluminuras is a biannual publication of unpublished works and collaborations primarily in the form of various articles and features such as news and interviews, in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English.
