Publisher: National Institute of Population and Social Security Research
We've been on the web since 2002, when we first premiered as "Journal of
Population and Social Security". We changed our name to "The Japanese
Journal of Social Security Policy" to better reflect the nature of our
online publication from June 2003.
IPSS Web Journal "The Japanese Journal of Social Security Policy" invites
rigorous and clearly written articles from persons in the social and
behavioral sciences. In particular, articles with implications for Japanese
social policy are welcomed.
Research areas include, but are not limited to, studies of the Japanese
perspective in contemporary social policy issues; theoretical, empirical,
and comparative analysis of Japanese social security institutions; analyses
of the comparison between Japanese and other countries' social policies;
reviews of other issues related to Japanese social policy.
The Web Journal is a semiyearly research journal of IPSS in English. It has
a broad readership of policymakers, government officials, academics,
graduate and undergraduate students, business people, and other interested
nonspecialists.
We regard the submission of an article as your implied commitment not to
submit the article to other publications while it is under consideration by
the IPSS Web Journal. If you have published a related article elsewhere, you
should state this in your cover letter to us.
