Metrologia is an international journal dealing with the scientific aspects
of metrology (science of measurement). It is now in its thirty-third year
of publication, with Volume 35 (1998). 

The on-line version is an exact replica of the printed one, but with the
added advantage of being fully searchable. 

It is available over the Internet from CatchWord Ltd., the U.K.-based
electronic publishing solutions company. 

The electronic versions of Volume 34 and 35 will be available free of
charge throughout 1998. In order to browse them, you will need to install
the (free) RealPage software on your computer. If the software is already
installed, you can click here to connect to the electronic journal (make
sure that Netscape is configured to recognize RealPage files by using the
Netscape Panel above: select Options - General Preferences - Helpers -
application/realpage - Launch the Application - Browse:  [LOCATION OF
REALPAGE EXE FILE]). If you have not yet installed RealPage, first connect
to http://www.catchword.co.uk/ to download the software. You will be asked
to select a server from a list; you should choose the one likely to give
the fastest response time. 

In order to subscribe to the electronic version next year, you will need
to register with CatchWord using the RealPage software. You will receive a
personal identification number, which you should quote when you register
your subscription with the BIPM.
