Mineral Industry Surveys (MIS) are periodic statistical and economic
publications designed to provide timely statistical data on production,
distribution, stocks, and consumption of significant mineral commodities.
These publications are issued monthly, quarterly, or annually for
commodities and annually for States and countries. Monthly and quarterly
MIS publications for commodities are available on the World Wide Web.
Annual MIS publications for commodities and States are only available by
mail or fax; annual MIS publications for countries are only available by
fax. Annual MIS publications are not available on the World Wide Web,
however, annual chapters in the Minerals Yearbook are available on the
World Wide Web and provide the same information as the annual MIS.
