Matériaux (Materials) is a journal of contemporary history edited by the
Association des Amis de BDIC et du Musée (Society of Friends of the Library
of Contemporary International Documentation and the Museum). The journal
publishes cutting-edge studies by French and non-French researchers on
international relations and the contemporary world.

Established in 1985 to increase awareness of the substantial collections of
the Bibliothèque de Documentation Internationale Contemporaine (Library of
Contemporary International Documentation), the journal MATÉRIAUX pour
l¹histoire de notre temps (MATERIALS for the History of our Time) publishes
historical studies, documents and unpublished accounts relating to
contemporary history, as well as presentations of the holdings and work of
the library and its museum.

Run by a group of researchers, historians and librarians, it is dependent on
a major network of universities, journalists, writers and politicians. The
team responsible for the journal is also active in broadcasting research by
participating in the organisation of debates, round tables, lectures and
exhibitions both in and outside France. These events often take place in
conjunction with the subject of the journal.
