The journal covers the following ten disciplines: dentistry, medicine,
nursing, optometry, osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, podiatric medicine,
psychology, social work, and veterinary medicine. 

National Academies of Practice Forum (NAPF) is the premier outlet for
interdisciplinary empirical, theoretical, policy and practice-based
knowledge. Each peer-reviewed issue will provide a myriad of perspectives
designed to enhance the practice of all types of health care professional
- from practitioners to scholars, policy-makers to researchers.

Each issue of NAPF presents informative features including: "My
Perspective" offering an editorial written by a representative of a
different member profession every issue * Upcoming Society Events and
Conferences listing relevant events for each discipline *
Profession-Specific Section briefly highlighting the most important
current information in each profession,, including citations of articles
of interest in related journals * Letters to the Editor presenting an
opportunity for reader feedback and shared concerns * and Book and Media
Reviews critiquing salient new books and software applicable to
interdisciplinary research and policy.

Departments featured in each issue of NAPF traverse topics common to all
