Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, the journal of the Association for
Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action, is an
international, interdisciplinary journal that seeks to enhance the quality
of life and general welfare of humanity through effective and appropriate
voluntary action by reporting on research and programs related to
voluntarism, citizen praticipation, philanthropy, and nonprofit
organizations in societies around the world.

NVSQ is dedicated to enhancing our knowledge of nonprofit organizations,
philanthropy, and voluntarism. This goal can be achieved only through the
cumulative efforts of many different disciplines. Among the disciplines
represented in NVSQ are:

Anthropology, Arts and humanities, Economics, Education, Health, History,
Law, Management, Political Science, Psychology, Public
Administration, Religious Studies, Social Work, Sociology, and Urban
Affairs.

In order to provide a profound coverage of the most current issues,
Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly focuses on five general areas:

Organization and Leadership, Philanthropy, Voluntarism, Public Policy, and
Civil Society.
