Noves SL: Revista de sociolingüística is devoted to sociolinguistics and
related topics. The journal is mainly addressed to experts and to those
involved in agencies dealing with language policies, and is aimed to
disseminate knowledge, to strengthen the implementation of research.

The journal aims to deal with questions involving the future and the
maintenance of languages within the new framework of the 21st Century: the
analysis of the role of new migrations in the Catalan, European and world
society; the impact of new technologies in the processes of shift/promotion
of languages; the elaboration of new methods of analysis and research, as
well as the implementation of sectorial or specific studies.
