http://www.doaj.org/
This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and
scholarly journals.
Outskirts is a feminist, cultural studies journal published twice
yearly at this site in May and November. It is our aim to provide a
space in which new and challenging critical material from a range of
disciplinary perspectives and addressing a range of feminist topics and
issues is brought together to discuss and contest contemporary and
historical issues involving women and feminisms. Archives go back to
1996.
Outskirts is a fully refereed academic journal. Each submission is read
by one member of the editorial board and if it is considered suitable
for publication, sent to an outside, academic referee. This report will
be sent to the writer. If the board member considers the paper requires
revision, another board member will read it and together they will
advise the writer about what needs to be done for resubmission.
Outskirts welcomes submissions from all feminist researchers; in
particular we encourage postgraduate researchers to publish with
Outskirts. To make a submission, please email or send a disk and hard
copy of your work to the address below. We welcome scholarly articles;
commentaries on feminist projects or issues; reviews of feminist
publications. Scholarly submissions will be read by two members of the
editorial board, then sent to an outside referee. The editorial board
will make final decisions about the material used in each issue.
