This electronic version of the print journal of the same name is published
on the web by Springer-Verlag Berlin. The journal Biophysik, edited by B. 
Rajewsky, was founded in 1963. With Volume 11 (1974) the name Radiation
and Environmental Biophysics was adopted.  It is devoted to fundamental 
and applied issues in radiation research and biophysics. Topics include:

            Biophysics of ionizing radiation: radiation physics and
		chemistry, radiation dosimetry, radiobiology, radioecology,
		biophysical foundations of medical radiology, nuclear medicine,
		and radiation protection. 
            Biophysics of non-ionizing radiations: ultraviolet, visible,
		and infrared light (including laser light), microwaves,
		radiowaves, low frequency electromagnetic fields, sound and
		ultrasound. 
            Biological effects of physical factors, such as temperature,
		pressure, gravitational forces, electric and magnetic fields. 
            Biophysical aspects of the biosphere and space, of ecosystems
		and their mathematical models, and of transport processes of
		energy and substances in biotic systems. 
            Risk assessment and risk modelling for radiation and 
		environmental factors. 

Articles are published in Adobe Acrobat portable document format and are
available to subscribers using a password provided by the publisher. No
password is required to view the article abstracts, which are published
in html format.
