The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is pleased to announce
that the full text of its journal RadioGraphics is now available online.
Many readers in Europe and Asia may find faster access at the URL:
http://intl.rsnajnls.org
http://intl-radiographics.rsnajnls.org
"Radiographics" online contains the full content of each issue of the
journal, including all figures and tables. In addition, the full text is
searchable by keyword, and the cited references include hyperlinks to
Medline and to the online full text of many other frequently-cited
journals.
Online full-text content begins with the January 1999 issues, and will
expand with each new issue. Abstract files are online beginning with the
1970 issues for Radiology and the 1985 issues for Radiographics. All
full-text and abstract content is searchable.
Soon, each issue will be placed online approximately on the date it is
mailed to subscribers; therefore the online site will be available prior
to receipt of your paper copy.
Online readers may want to sign up for the "eTOCs" service, which will
deliver each issue's new table of contents via email.
The Web site also provides access to information about the journal (such
as Instructions to Authors, the Editorial Board, and subscription
information and subscription ordering), as well as access to other
services.
The sites are free and available to all on the Internet through the end of
1999, when the free trial period ends. After that, access to full text
will be by subscription only. Subscription access to full-text is by
institutional license, which comes with all institutional subscriptions,
or included with Society membership or journal subscriptions for
individuals. Browsing of tables of contents and abstracts, and searching,
is free to all on the internet.
We very much encourage you, on your first visit to the site, to "sign the
guestbook." This will take only a minute or two, and will give us helpful
information about who the online readers are, and how they are connecting
to us. In addition, we would appreciate comments, critiques, questions,
or suggestions from you; these can be sent via the Feedback button found
on all pages of the site. Feedback from readers will help us decide what
new features would be most valuable for the site and how well it is
working for its readers.
The site is being produced in conjunction with Stanford University's
HighWire Press, which also works with other medical/research journals,
such as these frequently-cited journals: Science, Proceedings of the
National Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Biological Chemistry. A list
of over 130 online journals and URLs is available at
http://highwire.stanford.edu or
http://intl.highwire.org
(Please forward this information to your colleagues who may
be interested in Radiographics.)
