Radiation Oncology Investigations: Clinical and Basic Research aims at
improved rapid communication of expanding research in radiation oncology
and the related specialties of radiobiology, cancer biology, and medical
physics. The journal focuses on investigational aspects of clinical and
basic research related to radiotherapy, and gives priority to the
publication reporting on translational research, i.e. laboratory
observations with significant implications for clinical radiotherapy and
clinical studies that indicate new approaches for basic research. As we
can expect significant impact from the improved understanding of molecular
mechanisms underlying cellular radiation responses, the journal also
covers the evolving field of molecular radiobiology. The journal provides
a means of communication of important radiotherapy treatment delivery
innovations from both the technical and trial design perspective. There is
also interest in clinical trials that use novel forms of radiotherapy
either alone or in combination with other cancer treatment modalities.
