The Taiwan Journal of Democracy (TJD) is a refereed journal devoted to
the study of democratic politics, in general, and democratic development in
Taiwan and in other Asian democracies, in particular.

Published semiannually, the journal's goal is to provide an open forum, free
of cultural and partisan bias, for academic and policy research and a venue
for dialogue among scholars and professional specialists on democratic
experience. 

The journal particularly wishes to promote articles comparing the
experiences of new democracies (including Taiwan).
