Verbum et Ecclesia is the academic journal of the Dutch Reformed Church 
at the Faculty of Theology, University of Pretoria. It is accredited by 
the National Department of Education.

The periodical functions within the framework of the university'’s primary 
functions: training, research and community service. It is the vision of 
Verbum et Ecclesia to equip and inform students, ministers, theologians, 
and other interested people, on the latest theological research. Verbum 
et Ecclesia thus falls under the Faculty of Theology'’s outreach 
programmes.

Verbum et Ecclesia  appears twice a year (in July and November). A third 
edition is published periodically as a commemoration edition, or as a 
special edition on a specific subject or topic.
