Varia Historia is composed of four sections: thematic dossiers, articles,
reviews, and critical edition of documents. A professor associated with one
of the research areas of the graduate program in History at UFMG organizes,
on a rotation basis and by invitation, the thematic dossiers.

The goal of the journal Varia Historia is to provide an ample space for
academic discussion of historical topics (History understood as Science) and
dialogue with other fields of knowledge such as History of Science or
History of Art. Exception is made for the area of History Teaching, which
demands a more specific publication.
