Werken is a journal of Social Sciences, a publication space for spreading of
investigations, ideas, proposals, analysis, critics, revisions and opinions
of diverse origins, tones and calibers, an instance of presentation and
diffusion of works made by investigators of different disciplines.

Our interest is centered around problems of investigation related to Social
Sciences, mainly with three disciplines compatible and linked by a humanist
perspective: Archaeology, Anthropology and History. We understand that these
three disciplines consider common themes as opposed to that they need to be
integrated; they relate to Man around a diachronic perspective, that tries
an understanding of its past, its development in the present and the
possible directions and tendencies towards the future. For that reason, the
accent cannot be other than interdisciplinary, the conjunction of truths,
methodologies and experiences with the purpose of including the complexity
of the phenomena, the multiple perspectives that can give a knowledge of Man
and its society.
