X-Ray Optics and Instrumentation aims to promote research and technology
development in x-ray optics, sources, detectors, and systems. Papers are
encouraged in the development and analysis of individual components as well
as system design and the interaction of component properties in system
performance. 

The journal provides a common venue for researchers in myriad application
areas including astronomy, material science, plasma physics, medical
instruments, synchrotron applications, solid state physics, and mineralogy,
to encourage a broad perspective and cross-fertilization.
