Yearbook of English Studies
Yearbook of English Studies
http://www.ingenta.com/journals/browse/mhra/yes
Publisher: Modern Humanities Research Association
The Yearbook is partly intended to provide an additional outlet for
articles dealing with the literature and language of English-speaking
countries submitted to The Modern Language Review, including some of the
more ambitious or more specialized papers.
A substantial proportion of each annual volume consists of specially
commissioned articles on a broad topic or theme which will vary from
year to year, and of articles and reviews submitted to the Editors which
happen to have a bearing on that particular volume's topic or theme.
Contributions on English subjects submitted to The Modern Language
Review or the Yearbook (other than those for special numbers of the
Yearbook) will continue to be considered for both publications
interchangeably.
Latest Volume
Volume 34 (2004) on nineteenth-century travel writing is now available
online here. The full contents list and abstracts of articles are freely
available, with links to the full text.
Forthcoming Volumes
Volume 35 (2005) will be concerned with Irish writing since 1950, and
Volume 36 (2006) with translation, and The Editor is currently inviting
articles for inclusion in Volume 36.
