MATH
    is the most comprehensive and up-to-date computerized information
service in pure and applied mathematics, mechanics, computer science,
operations research, systems and control theory. 

MATH
    contains all the literature reviewed in the Zentralblatt f|r
Mathematik/Mathematics Abstracts since 1972. Since then about 900,000
papers and books have been evaluated, approx. 50,000 items are added each
year. The database is updated monthly. Additionally, it contains all
current publications, including a preliminary subject description. 

MATH
    moreover covers a selection of Reports, Preprints and Theses from all
over the world. 

MATH
    is produced, designed and offered directly by the
Fachinformationszentrum Karlsruhe on STN INTERNATIONAL and provides the
quickest and most convenient access to the mathematical literature. 

MATH
    has the flexible and easy retrieval language MESSENGER and an optimal
design for searching the literature concerning your problem in the
database. 

MATH
    is a powerful tool for working scientists and librarians in retrieving
mathematical litera- ture from all over the world. 

MATH
    gives you the full bibliographical data (authors, title, source), a
subject description by the Mathematics Subject Classification and by
additional English keywords, and the complete review text (since 1984) in
TeX. 

MATH
    enables you to search for words from the title, the review, the
classification text or free keywords, for classification codes, for
authors, for journals, books and conference proceedings.  Any combination
of these search terms is possible by using Boolean logic. 

MATH
    is easily and quickly accessible from all over the world by direct
telephone line or via all major data networks to STN INTERNATIONAL in
Columbus/Ohio or Karlsruhe/F.R. Germany. MATH is accompanied by many other
databases on STN INTERNATIONAL concerning the fields of physics,
engineering, and computer science. 

MATH
    is also available on CD-ROM (CompactMATH) for DOS and UNIX using the
Personal File System (PFS) for retrieval.
