This electronic version of the print journal of the same name is published
on the web by Birkhauser Publishing Ltd. It publishes papers of high
quality in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids and Differential
Equations/Applied Mathematics. A paper will be considered for publication
if at least one of the following conditions is fulfilled: 

            The paper includes results or discussion which can be 
		considered orginal and highly interesting 
            The paper presents a new method 
            The author reviews a problem or a class of problems with such 
		profound insight, that further research is encouraged. 

Articles are published in Adobe Acrobat portable document format and are
available to subscribers using a password provided by the publisher. No
password is required to view the article abstracts, which are published
in html format.
